Bike Tunnel Québec doesn't only travel among its supporters. Specialized outlets — in Québec and abroad — have chosen to bring it to their readers, without that coverage being solicited. Here is what they wrote.

with their own questions and reservations — at a project still
at the proposal stage. That is precisely what makes them valuable:
they are not press releases, but outside, independent points of view.

Momentum — read well beyond Québec —
devotes a long feature to the project and its origins. The article
opens on a scene rather than on numbers: cycling to work in the
middle of January in Québec City, sheltered from the snow,
the ice and the traffic. It traces the personal spark behind the
idea — selling a car to get back in the saddle — and
presents the network as a genuine underground transit system
designed for cycling, with its 15 km pilot project between
Sainte-Foy, Université Laval and Old Québec.
The magazine states where it stands right from the introduction:

project as a bold citizen vision, in keeping with the region's major
mobility debates. The article picks up the cost-per-kilometre
comparison with Québec City's tramway, notes the tunnel's
complementary uses (delivery, fibre optics, electricity) and draws a
parallel with Dubai's The Loop project — there to escape the
heat, here to escape the cold. A measured take that also raises the
real questions of cost and use, and that relays the Momentum
article along the way.
The author closes his overview on an open note:
“C'est permis de rêver.” — we're
allowed to dream.
